Come celebrate how far the Rail Park has come during a Members Happy Hour hosted by Love City Brewing! Meet the Friends of the Rail Park team, and fellow members and park lovers, while getting a first look at all the exciting things we’re up to this spring and summer. First drink’s on us!

Bubbles at the Rail Park

Pop in the Park
 

Bubbles, Bubbles, and MORE Bubbles! The magic of bubble artistry comes to life in this family-friendly event designed to celebrate the infinite ways that these momentary soap masterpieces captivate and delight. During the event you can also check out Murals on the Move, a colorful van stocked with art supplies and equipped with talented teaching artists from the Mural Arts Program. This event is a part of the Philadelphia Science Festival, hosted by Mural Arts and the Friends of the Rail Park.

Native Plants Walk
 

What makes the plants on the Rail Park unique? Join John from Good Host Plants on a free walk through Phase I to discuss the Rail Park's native plants ecosystem! He'll talk about all the plants at the park and how they’ll grow throughout the seasons, creating a unique urban habitat. Come learn why native plants are so essential to the health of our cities and our planet, and the small steps you can take to contribute to the native plant movement!

Bike to Work & Wherever Day

Bike to Work & Wherever Day


Join the Bicycle Coalition in celebrating National Bike to Work Day by biking to wherever you’re going! No matter where you're headed, every time you ride your bike you're doing a good thing for our earth, your city, and yourself.

On Friday morning during National Bike to Work Day, the Bicycle Coalition will be hosting an Energizer Station at The Rail Park. Stop by on your way to work or wherever for snacks, coffee, giveaways, activities, and new friends. Then join one of the group rides headed to Center City/Dilworth Park.

Spring Tours with Sarah

Spring Tours

We still have a few tickets left for this Saturday’s tour with local artist and Friends of the Rail Park co-founder Sarah McEneaney! She’ll guide you along elevated and submerged sections of the former Reading Railroad, sharing stories about the site's history and visions for the future.
